I love this song.
It’s by Too Hip for the Room
All these years of eating grilled cheese and it finally means something dammit!

Does anyone remember this cartoon? They would show it around 3pm on Channel 29 in the early 80s. That is the last time I remember seeing it.
I had no idea what the title of it was until I googled “parade in front of house dumping garbage cartoon.”
Whew! Long search line.
But as you can see from the above, I found it.
Now I need to find those “Follow the bouncing ball” cartoons.

The children do not have families of their own so they must go with Charlie Brown and his family to his grandmother’s house for dinner? They didn’t even call their parents for permission to go! (Peppermint Patty already had permission from her dad.)
I always thought Marcy and Peppermint Patty had something going on. Now I’m thinking Peppermint Patty swings both ways.
Woodstock should not be allowed in the kitchen. He’s too small. He might wind up in some soup.
Where do the Peanuts kids live? They don’t have to wear coats during Thanksgiving yet it snows for Christmas?
I liked it better when these specials were on CBS and sponsored by Dolly Madison “Neat to Eat Treats.”

Unfortunately, I’m one of the few who could care less about not having Channel 4. There is nothing on there that I watch including the Buffalo Bills.
::Gasp::
My God, am I saying that I’m not a Bills Fan?
Why yes I am! I do not like Football, the rowdy fans, all the beer drinking that goes along with it or the players that whether they win or lose, they will still get their massive paychecks.
But what gets me is all the pissed off Time Warner customers who have their knickers in a knot regarding the game and their shows (BTW, the shows are streamed online on CBS Video)
Lin TV failed to reach the agreement. How many other markets are involved in this?
Remember back in the days when there was no cable? It’s called Bunny Ears. Look into it.
Those who are in the blogosphere and subscribe to Road Runner or whatever other super faaaaaaaaaaaaast ISP you have, then you should be well acquainted with your computer. It’s that thing you sit your ass in front of when you type/whine about the lack of Channel 4.
You have another option: Buy a TV TUNER CARD for your computer. It’s cheaper than running around switching your TV companies.
But if you are willing to spend the money switching to Dish or DirecTV. Go right ahead. I didn’t think, that in the state of the economy, those poor schmucks have the money to buy the dish, boxes, DVRs and the package that goes along with it.
But who am I to say to those who don’t have disposable income for this but feel they NEED it like they need to eat and take a dump every day. It’s amazing to those who can write in one entry that money is tight and then state “I hate Time Warner I’m getting the Dish!”
Good luck with that. It will be your own personalized weather system. Right before a storm, that dish will be searching for signal. Will you get credit on your bills for that? Don’t think so. Oh and if you rent, will the landlord let you put the dish on the house? Hmmm, I guess I think too much into the technical aspects of having a dish.
My Dish. Let me show you it!

Sorry babes, I have cable now. The dish is still on the house for decoration.
I’m glad I know how to install a TV tuner card in my computer. W00t.
But if you REALLY REALLY need bunny ears and don’t want to go to a bar to drink beer and watch the game, Time Warner is giving away free antennas.
Customers can get a free antenna from Time Warner for their television on Saturday, October 4 from 2pm-6pm. You can find the antennas at Time Warner’s four payment centers:
355 Chicago Street in Buffalo
789 Indian Church Road in West Seneca,
4066 N. Buffalo Street in Orchard Park
972 Maple Road in Amherst
Additionally, Time Warner is offering up to a $20 credit to people who purchase an antenna from one of the following stores: Stereo Advantage, Rosa’s, Circuit City, Best Buy, Target, K-Mart, Wal-Mart, and Radio Shack. Customers who purchase an antenna from one of these locations can take their receipt to any Time Warner payment center to receive their credit.
I’m so glad we have our priorities straight in this day and age.
